Daily Occurrences

What a lame assortment of photos for this Daily Occurrences. This past week has been busy, busy, busy. When will it slow down? Summer? Do I still get a summer break? No? Okay. Last Sunday we were able to see our wonderful friend Bri get baptized after we discovered that we have MICE. Ew to the max. Of course, my little Desh is still rolling around totally unaffected by the issue at hand. I’ve been spending my lunch breaks looking at new apartments and we found something on Wednesday. Horray! More details to come later. For now – I will enjoy this weekend and get ready for my trip to Vegas! Happy Weekend!

Monday Link Love

The photo above seemed extremely fitting. Adam washed my car on Saturday and I can hardly recognize it. All that dirt and salt has been washed clean and now my car actually sparkles! We’ll see how long it lasts! I felt so spoiled by the warm weather and today’s mere 30 degrees wasn’t doing it for me. Enjoy today’s Monday Link Love — I’m off for President’s Day and I hope you are too!

- I’ve been jumping on the “stripes” bandwagon for awhile now and loved these two pieces over on I am a Greedy Girl.

- Have any of you tried a Chemex coffeemaker? I’d love to hear how you liked it.

- I made this altered version of dolsot bibimbap after seeing Secret Pocket’s post. It’s DELICIOUS! Making it again for dinner tomorrow.

- “Art is not in the eye of the beholder. It’s in the soul of the artist.” Seth Godin

- This cornucopia bag is perfect for farmers markets, biking, and all things exploration.

- I loooove this bambo0 dish rack over on Re-Nest. It’s perfect!

Recap, people.

I’ve been quite MIA the past few days and that can be blamed on the fact that we are in the process of moving into our new place. We’re approximately 80% finished but I thought I’d share a few pictures of our new home!

Oh and yes, I had to share a photo of the little kitty that was waving to me in an empty store front.

whozits and whatzits galore

A few years ago one of my best friends (Kellyn Walker) and I went to a flea market. After scouring the area for antique lamps and maps, we stumbled across a wonderful treasure. An Ariel Styling Head. We spent the days hiding her in the other’s closet, in a laundry basket, or sitting in the backseat of the car. It was hilarious and one of the weirdest things ever.

So yesterday Kellyn sent me the following tweet :

And so I clicked the link and scrolled down.

Ariel made it big time! I laughed for about 5 minutes straight. Obviously our own Ariel head looked a little more disheveled and I’m currently in the process of finding mine. Did anyone else own one of these things? Please share.
