I attended my first Doo DahParade this year on the 4th. It was fabulous.
Would you do me and my friend Elizabeth a favor? Would you vote for our logo? If we make it into the top 5, it goes to a panel and we could win 3 months worth of local produce! You can choose to give us 5 votes per email address and voting ends on Wednesday. We’re in 6th place so please help bump us up to 5th (or heck, even 1st!).
I’m excited to be working with Team Cbus. What’s #teamcbus? Here’s a little excerpt from their website:
What’s better than five friends in a car?
Five friends in a Chevy, on their way to South by Southwest in Austin, TX competing against 10 other teams across North America, and doing work from some non-profits along the way.
Make it even better if the five friends are fiercely loyal to their hometown, and you’ve got yourself a show.
We are Team Cbus, and never have we been more proud to represent our city. We are a city of entrepreneurs, start-ups, and art. We like it homegrown, homemade, and homespun. We like our restaurants to be owned by our friends, our ice creams to come straight from our cows to our cones, and our beer to be micro-brewed.
I’ve been working on their logo and graphics for their website and I’m so excited to see what amazing things they accomplish.
What’s been going on?
1. Working on my updated portfolio + website.
2. Adam and Desh.
3. A new purse to life my mood.
4. Afternoon coffee in my Chicago Starbucks mug.
5. Given Rework as a gift.
6. Dirty Franks. Get in my belly.
7. A cuddly pet.
8. A new lens.
9. My new love of games.
All taken on my iPhone + ColorProcess App.
Since December I’ve been busy with an amazing group of women, creating a product, planning an event, and bringing about support for the Epilepsy Foundation. The Twitter community in Columbus is amazing and in late 2010, a bunch of us decided that we wanted to make a calendar and ultimately sell them and donate our proceeds to an organization. One of our beautiful #calendargirls is epileptic and we decided to bring about awareness for epilepsy. Since then we’ve created our calendar, launched our event, and are still accepting donations! You can visit our website here and either buy a calendar (it ships to you) or donate an amount. I feel honored to be a part of this and I see the #calendargirls doing many more great things in 2011.
Lately: Dirty Franks, beautiful sunsets, and a new (vintage) ring.
