Monday Link Love
My three most favorite things on the internet lately:
- ONE IOTA’s work for a local grocer.
- I loved reading why Annie likes shooting film.
- Weekly “Music Night.” I think Adam and I will start doing this.
My three most favorite things on the internet lately:
Happy August! A round up of three of my favorite things on The Internets lately.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a Monday Link Love so I bet you’re peeing your pants right now. I realized that I’ve tweeting a lot of the fun things I find on the internet throughout the week and then have nothing to share come Monday. I’ve decided to set aside 3-5 links that I REALLY want to share to keep your Monday blog browsing quick and sweet. Enjoy.
- I want to make these homemade tortilla chips and these lime cilantro sweet potatoes.
- The Closet Visit films are lovely and, of course, the typography grabbed my attention.
- I’ve bookmarked this talk that Tina Fey gave to Google. Has anyone watched it yet?
- Foil stamping AND the color teal? Heck yes! The Montreux Café Identity System is lovely.
- Sharon recently posted this blog post featuring a few videos by past ADC Young Guns winners. Love them.
- I’ve been recently mesmerized by all things space, moon and constellations. I love the photo above (found on Pinterest but only linked to Tumblr.com) and I also just bought this print over on AGC916′s shop on Etsy.
- This idea for a wedding guestbook is adorable. Have your guests write their birthdays in a full year calendar! Although-then you would have no excuse to send a card.
- I need these shoes.
- How amazing are these lamps. I want one in every color.
Who doesn’t love a little Mumford and Sons for their Monday morning? (or afternoon if you’re visiting from across the ocean!) I had a great weekend visiting my family in Illinois. This week I’m launching my updated portfolio site AND preparing to move for this weekend. Plus a social engagement about every evening. But HECK I’m going to blog too. You know…comments keep me motivated so be sure to leave one!
- I love this post over on Hula Seventy. Portland has double decker dress shops AND double decker grilled cheese restaurants?? I’m moving.
- What do you think of the typeface Banda?
- I love this post about bar carts (one thing I’m DEFINITELY having in our new apartment!)
- I’m also taking my Lola’s (grandmother in the Philippines) china cabinet and doing this next weekend.
- Look at this GORGEOUS church. Everything should be that beautiful.
- I found this recipe for Florida Avocado Summer Wraps. NOM. Can you overdose on avocado? Because I might.
Happy Monday! I see rain in our forecast for the next four days so I thought I’d share another photo from Vegas. Blue skies, I miss you. Enjoy the links.
- The Official Manufacturing Company is one of my new favorites. Someday I would love to work with a handful of people, closely, and create.
- A double decker dress shop?? Yes please!
- Before I Die…what would you fill in?
- Butter and Brass shares a few ideas for your walls…
- I made Jewel’s recipe last week and it was delicious.
- Just bought this book and this book at Border’s “We’re Bankrupt” Sale. Both hardcovers for $20 total!
The photo above seemed extremely fitting. Adam washed my car on Saturday and I can hardly recognize it. All that dirt and salt has been washed clean and now my car actually sparkles! We’ll see how long it lasts! I felt so spoiled by the warm weather and today’s mere 30 degrees wasn’t doing it for me. Enjoy today’s Monday Link Love — I’m off for President’s Day and I hope you are too!
- I’ve been jumping on the “stripes” bandwagon for awhile now and loved these two pieces over on I am a Greedy Girl.
- Have any of you tried a Chemex coffeemaker? I’d love to hear how you liked it.
- I made this altered version of dolsot bibimbap after seeing Secret Pocket’s post. It’s DELICIOUS! Making it again for dinner tomorrow.
- “Art is not in the eye of the beholder. It’s in the soul of the artist.” Seth Godin
- This cornucopia bag is perfect for farmers markets, biking, and all things exploration.
- I loooove this bambo0 dish rack over on Re-Nest. It’s perfect!
I’m ridiculously excited about this Monday Link Love. I truly believe it’s the best collection of links I’ve EVER posted. And I want to thank the Superbowl for allowing me 4 hours of free time to plan it! I thought your Monday could use the links AND a little smooch from Marilyn.
- This adorable ruffled tee on All Things Heart & Home is so adorable. I really can’t sew. I also don’t own a sewing machine but now I wish I did.
- Multi Tier Cake Pans?! YES!
- These wedding paper goods are in a league of their own. Watch the video at the bottom of how they made each invitation. Talk about dedication!
- I want to try to braid and style my hair like this. It’s getting long enough. Alas, it will probably just look like I’m homeless.
- “I want a boy who will build me bookshelves.” (Adam has already done this for me, so I win.)
- I’ve been missing my laptop recently. If I had a MacBook Air, I would be purchasing this case now!
- Do what you love and do it often. Well said. And nice type.
One of my best friends is headed to Italy today so I thought I would dedicate this Monday Link Love to TRAVEL!
