Monday Link Love

I know it’s not December yet…but the Christmas season starts in November for me. Basically around Halloween. Don’t hate. Anyways, I thought I’d start sharing some of my favorite festive Internet finds:

  1. Anthropologie’s gift wrap + tags are so lovely. I’ll admit it–I do an awful job at gift wrapping. I want my presents to be pretty this year while trying to keep down the waste! Maybe fabric and recycled paper.
  2. Throwing a cocktail party? You can make these amazing invites.
  3. I LOVE that Bri sent these little gifts to her clients this year. I’ve never thought to do this but I may have to soon.

Today’s Monday Link Love is dedicated to buying handmade (or vintage) on Etsy. Christmas is coming up and in order to get your items shipped in time…I thought I’d get a head start on helping you with your list! I’ve selected six shops to highlight based on their products! Click the images to go directly to the shop. Enjoy.

Three of my favorite things on the Interwebs lately. I stopped numbering the items since…I mean c’mon…it’s pretty obvious.

  • I love this planner! I’m obsessed with planners. I currently use a Little Otsu planner but this one might be great for all-things-freelance. Adam and I keep a joint calendar on iCal and I use the Little Otsu planner to keep track of all my own little reminders/workout schedule/meal ideas.
  • Fellow Fellow is such a lovely store! I adore the feather gift tags. My friend Heather has inspired me to take on my holiday gift wrapping as an art.
  • Eames: The Architect and the Painter comes out this month. I’m so excited to watch it!
Enjoy your Monday! Check back tomorrow for my Birchbox review and the #NOPHO Week 2 post on Wednesday!

Favorite three things on the Internet right now:

  1. This Fantastic Mr. Fox costume idea is brilliant and adorable. Did you/are you dressing up this year?
  2. I’ll be a sponsor over at SRSLYLIZ.COM next month. If you aren’t a reader, become one!
  3. Sannah Kvist’s project titled, “All I Own.” Love it.

Some of my favorite lady bloggers. All very different, but I love them all the same.

  1. Sonya just started blogging again (which made my year!) over here. sassfacedblogpunch.
  2. I won’t lie. The Bachelor/ette are my guilty pleasure shows. But I for real love Ashley’s blog, Say No to Cosmo. Whether she’s hilariously recapping an episode or explaining why Cosmo is so lame…she makes me laugh.
  3. Mindy Kaling. I love her. Her book comes out November 1st. For now, you can read the hilarity on her blog, The Concerns of Mindy Kaling.

My triple round up for this week includes:

  1. I am so excited for She & Him’s Christmas album. A Very She & Him Christmas comes out October 24. I will be playing Christmas music, then, for over two months.
  2. Kate shares her recipe for rosemary gin lemonade slushes. May summer live on forever.
  3. The Mixed Race Project is so incredibly interesting to read through. Not to mention, great photography.

Now that the 30 Day Photo Challenge is over, I’m excited to get back to regular blogging. This is my 50th Monday Link Love and I’m excited to be sharing some fun content from The Internets.

  1. Don’t Fear the Internet. While this isn’t new, I still wanted to share. It’s basic HTML & CSS for non-web designers (a collaboration project from Jessica Hische and Russ Maschmeyer). The videos are amazing, make sense and I would encourage everyone to watch them.
  2. Seven Eras of Willem de Kooning. Willem de Kooning is my favorite artist, ever. The New York Times offers audio to listen to while discovering the many works and styles of the painter.
  3. Helvetica Cookie Cutters. While I’m not the biggest Helvetica fan…I wouldn’t mind making alphabet cookies with these cookie cutters (made by Beverly Hsu). I would definitely make them for the holidays.
I hope your Monday is off to a great start. I’m off today for Columbus Day so I’m working on freelance projects and enjoying the warm weather while it lasts. Check back this week for some great posts on free font resources, some updates on my freelance business, my current wishlist + more.

This Monday Link Love is photo themed (of course).

  1. This photo really strikes me. Below is written: “This photograph is my proof there was that afternoon, when things were still good between us, and she embraced me, and we were so happy. It did happen. She did love me. Look, see for yourself!”
  2. WHALES ARE SO HUGE. I love this photo.
  3. My #30dayphoto challenge starts this Thursday!! My biggest tip right now? Start taking photos August 31st so you have time to upload and post by 9am on Thursday.

Hello all! Hope your weekends were nice and relaxing. I’ve had LOTS of new visitors to the blog lately (particularly because of my 30 Day Drawing Challenge from earlier this year). I hope all you lovelies decide to keep reading! Three things I want to share with you today on Monday Link Love:

  1. An adorable and lovely way to share some exciting news. I love Jared Hogan‘s work.
  2. 11 days until my 30 Day Photo Challenge kicks off! Get your cameras ready or your film developed soon!
  3. Read some of my thoughts over at xheight today and leave a comment! I love hearing what others think.

This week’s Monday Link Love is food focused. I’m well aware that our summers here in Ohio last HALF the time our winters stick around, so in a way I’m trying* to soak up all the hot, sunny weekends while they last. (* I say trying because I freaking LOVE autumn!)
