A Giveaway!

Every once in awhile, I get into “gift buying mode.” I online shop or wander Marshall’s finding random things that I know people will love. Every so often, I find stuff that isn’t necessarily for a specific person but I still want to give it to somebody. That happened the other day when I stumbled upon this blanket and the snake mug. I decided I wanted to do a giveaway and was able to work out an arrangement with Abby (owner of Hopdox here in Ohio) where I photographed the pieces in exchange for this giveaway!

If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you may have missed my post from last night. I’ll share it here again so if you already read it, skip on ahead.

I’ve always gone out of my way to support women-owned businesses. And local. And women of color. That’s always been a focus for us at The Wonder Jam. After last week, I realized that there are a few tangible ways that I can focus my efforts right now instead of reading articles and crying. I can donate. I can support these businesses by providing pro bono photography and design so that these businesses continue to grow. I can also connect people. It’s EXTREMELY important to meet people who are different than you. No matter where you live, who you love, what language you speak or what you believe…it’s important to practice empathy and ask questions.

I think that this giveaway is happening at the best time because:

  1. It allows me to support a local, female-owned business here in Ohio
  2. It allows me to give back
  3. It allows anyone interested in the giveaway to also participate in my 4th Annual Holiday Gift Swap! I opened registration for that today because we will all benefit from supporting local and meeting someone NEW this year.

In order to enter to win these items below, you can enter using the Rafflecopter form. I’ll choose a winner on Friday at 12am Eastern.

[Blanket by Specks & Keepings, Gradient vase by CKTC, Speckled necklace by Franca and Coasters by Cotton & Flax all donated by Hopdox — Kate Spade book and Snake Mug contributed by me]

I love this sentiment! And I love supporting female-owned businesses. It’s really not hard to do in Northampton, but the yarn store is probably my favorite.
