Nothing to see here…

No work to show yet. I’m finalizing about 5 projects by February. Exciting, exciting. Hope your week is going well! It’s almost 2010!

Color change

I originally created my super-simple-extremely-not-complicated logo last year with the intention that I could create a color change whenever I felt like it. In college, I went through two logo identity processes and I didn’t use either. When I tried to develop a logo for myself–I would create logos that were too detailed and I felt locked in. Maybe someday I can pay another designer that I really respect to develop my identity. That would be wonderful.

The last week of the year…

Christmas was wonderful and I received some very special gifts. Another week of work and then I’ll be headed to my hometown with Adam to celebrate Christmas again and 2010 will be here. I truly hope you had a great time with family and friends and that your year was a year to remember. Whether it was a time of learning, rejoicing, or mourning, I know each year we have should never be taken for granted.

Featured below are some of my favorite gifts from this Christmas. (From top to bottom : Grey braided neck loop scarf from Uniform Natural, gorgeous handmade thank you notes from Rifle Paper Co., a copy of Ayn Rand : The World She Made, and a beautiful Christmas tree to view.)

P.S:

Happy six month anniversary, Adam Lehman. You’re my number one co-conspirator.

I see a theme…

I “star” my favorite blog posts in Google Reader and then I tend to share them here on my own. Recently, I saw a theme developing in my favorites. Take a look. You can click on the image to take you to it’s brilliant source.

On this day, love.

It's been so long.

I decided to pick up a paint brush for the first time in 6 months. I was contacted by someone to create a three-canvas piece and….I had fun! It’s a bit blurry. The photo was taken on my iPhone!

Everything’s a bit foggy. I’m going to take a break and rest. I hope you all had a great day!

always admire those in your life.

The other day I realized how much I missed being surrounded be people that I admire. It has taken a long time for me to digest what my college experience really meant and how it affected me. During those four years, I was blessed to work, create, and spend time with some of the most talented people I think I’ll ever meet. There are many more but I decided to feature these 7 artists today. Now let me introduce you…

What I like Most

I haven’t been posting as regularly. I’ve been trying to be more intentional with my time. I’ve been trying to get more sleep. I’ve been trying to create freelance work that I’m really excited about.

I’ll have a lot more work to post after the holidays. I’m currently designing wedding invitations for three couples, a website for Jewel Hazelton, a collaborative project with TOTSPUPS.com + many other artists, and finishing up a few more details for past projects.

The picture above is my puppy (Desh) trying to eat my dinner. For more pictures, go here. My husband  has recently started taking more pictures. He’s fab.
